Everything needed to install, find and activate ShiftFace—plus the quickest fixes when a DAW decides to be difficult.

01 / INSTALL

Install ShiftFace

  1. Download the Windows installer from your Gumroad receipt.
  2. Close your DAW and run the installer.
  3. Keep the recommended VST3 folder unless your setup needs a custom location.
  4. Open your DAW and rescan plug-ins if ShiftFace does not appear.

Default folder:
C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

02 / ACTIVATE

Activate once

  1. Insert ShiftFace on an audio track.
  2. Enter the purchase email and licence key from your Gumroad receipt.
  3. Select Activate while connected to the internet.
  4. After activation, normal use is fully offline.

Your licence covers up to three computers. Deactivate one inside ShiftFace before moving that seat.

03 / RESCAN

Can’t see the plug-in?

  • Confirm your DAW supports 64-bit VST3 plug-ins.
  • Run a full VST3 rescan—not only a quick scan.
  • Check that ShiftFace.vst3 exists in your chosen VST3 folder.
  • Restart the DAW after installation.
  • If your DAW blocked a previous scan, clear its plug-in blacklist and rescan.
04 / QUICK FIXES

Something behaving odd?

  • Try Natural mode first; Robot is experimental and source-dependent.
  • Check Mix and Output before troubleshooting loudness.
  • Reload the plug-in, then restart the DAW.
  • Confirm Windows 10/11, 64-bit and ShiftFace 1.0.0.
  • Keep a copy of the project before testing major changes.
